Punjab Assembly, which started its 43rd session on Tuesday, remained in business for just 20 minutes and was adjourned till Wednesday when a member pointed out quorum. In this period only two queries on education were answered. Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal chaired the session.

To a query about education department the house was told by Minister for Education Mujtaba Shuja u Rehman that Punjab Education Fund was established under an Act passed by Punjab Assembly in 1991. In 2004, under Act X11 of 2004, Education Foundation was reorganised as an autonomous entity.
